Whats Cookin Doc

Coley loves to cook and if you ever get the opportunity to dine on some of her cuisine creations, you’d encourage her to do what she loves! She has always enjoyed making mouths water, even from a young age. When Coley was a young girl, she would help her grandma get the lunches ready for everyone. She cites her grandma for nurturing her love of cooking, “When my grandma and I cooked, it was really, really fun.  So, I guess my grandma got me into cooking.”

Cooking became something that provided her with so much more. She found something that she can put all of my stress into and sort of mold it into something beautiful and tasty at the same time. She explains, “I've been pushing really hard because cooking helps me not stress, and in a way it helps me hold onto tons of memories of my grandma when she was healthier. So, now I've found a way to cope with anything life throws at me. It comes out through my food.”

One of her latest creations came to her from a moment of family tragedy. “When my uncle passed away, I always told him I'd make him JELLO, and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, so I created the peanut butter & JELLO sandwich in memory of him.”

Finally, Coley wants to own a restaurant and call it "Dee's Kitchen" in honor of her gram. :)
